April Home Maintenance Tips
It’s almost Spring in Nashville! And with that comes some insanely, fluctuating temperatures as Nashville tries to figure out if we’ll have spring, winter or summer weather. So here are some specific things to check during your home maintenance routine in April:
Exterior wood and woodwork.
Inspect any exterior wood for wood rot. Clean and/or power-wash decking, fences and railings.
Hardscape (concrete and asphalt).
The repeated freezing and thawing can cause cracks. Power wash and seal driveways, walkways and steps. Use material-specific filler or caulk to fill cracks.
Outdoor water sources.
Check hose faucets for freeze damage and test exterior water faucets for for leaks.
