Here’s how the home-buying process might look:

  • Our initial meeting is almost like a first date - we get to know each other, have a conversation about your buying goals, and inform you about the buying process - from start to finish.

  • If you haven’t already, we’ll get you connected with some lenders so you can get pre-approved for your home loan. It’s important to know how much home you can afford, what type of down payment to budget for, monthly mortgage payment, as well as what type of loan program you’ll use to finance the new property.

  • Your Realtor, appraiser, title company, home inspector, insurance agent and lender all have important roles to play. Buying a new home is literally a team sport since there are so many tasks, important timelines, documents and responsibilities that need attention. We have all the connections necessary to make your team a winning success.

  • With a great professional by your side, it’s time to go house hunting! We use the most accurate, real-time data on the MLS and our many networks to start looking for prospective homes for you. When searching for a new house, you have tons of considerations to take into account — from the right neighborhood to the type of property you want. We counsel you on needs and wants, and act as your sounding board and compass throughout the search.

  • When we’ve found the right fit, it’s time to make an offer. We research comparable sales and competition properties, as well as advise you on current market conditions and how they are influencing what offers get accepted, in order to write a strong offer that you are comfortable with.

  • This is where your real estate professional plays a shining role, serving as both negotiator and expert resource for you throughout the entire process. Knowing your unique needs as a buyer, we advocate for your best interests in order to get the best value for your new home.

  • Once a seller and buyer have reached an agreement, we enter a period called escrow. During this time, there are often contingencies to be fulfilled as buyer and seller await the closing and move-out date. As full-service agents, we take great care in communicating and navigating through this period.

  • While most people think the majority of what Realtors do is find the house, the real story is the big part of our job is during this step. We handle all the paperwork, guide you through inspections, communicate with your lender, counsel you on all decisions and stay on top of all the pieces of your contract to get us to the closing table.

  • Time to sign the papers - but don’t fret. We will be sitting right next to you serving as an extra set of eyes and support as you work your way through purchasing your home.
