It Was a Sweet, Sweet Summer ☀️

Lake Chelan, WA

One of the things my family always looks forward to every summer is visiting my home state of Washington. Sandwiched between the mountains of the Pacific Northwest and the Puget Sound. It’s definitely my happy place. This Year, we changed things up a bit and spent part of our trip with family friends on Lake Chelan. Growing up in Western Washington, Lake Chelan was a typical summer destination for lots of folks, but I had actually never been there until this year! What a treat it was! Offering some of the clearest (and coldest) water I have ever encountered. It’s actually the 3rd deepest Lake in the United States. We enjoyed lazy days by the water, explored the sweet town of Chelan, WA and all of the great shops and restaurants. The kids had quality time with their friends and made some new ones. It was 5 days of fun and laughter and memories for years to come. My best friend Brooke and I had even planned a surprise at the local rodeo, with me singing the National Anthem!

After our trip at the lake, we ventured back to spend more time with my family near Mt. Baker. The boys enjoyed “unplugged” life at the farm. We witnessed baby claves being born, hung with the sheep and watched some of the most magical sunsets. We hiked deep into the woods and cold plunged in a waterfall. It was perfection and I can’t wait to do it again next year.
