Modern Art in NYC

Over Labor Day weekend, I spent 30 hours in NYC on a solo trip. I love museums, especially art museums. I spent 6 hours at MOMA (Museum of Modern Art). I observed, studied, and read about each piece of art that interested me. Yes, this is my idea of fun! (and you can probably understand why I did this without the kids or husband tagging along). Dinner was at Ai Fiori (in the Langham), and the evening was spent at the theater, watching the new Broadway musical, Six. It is a high-energy musical and super fun!

The next morning, I had every intent to visit Governors Island or Morgan Library, but a super comfy bed, incredibly effective blackout curtains, and room service breakfast had me enjoying my luxe hotel room instead. In New York, there’s always something new to experience, so don’t cram your vacation with activities just to do them – pick the few that are most important to you and save the rest for next time.
