Three Favorite Taco Spots

With National Taco Day just around the corner on October 4th, I wanted to highlight some of my favorite taco haunts in Nashville.

Nashville has no shortage of fantastic taco spots, and I have three local gems in mind to honor: Mas Tacos Por Favor in East Nashville, Baja Burrito in Berry Hill, and Casa Fiesta in Antioch.

  1. Mas Tacos Por Favor

A hidden treasure in East Nashville owned by Teresa Mason. Known for its authentic Mexican flavors and welcoming ambiance, it is the perfect place to sit down, relax and enjoy a fabulous meal and a margarita, if that’s your thing.  I can never resist ordering the Spicy Carne Molida taco with its perfectly seasoned ground beef and mouth watering spicy sauce. The Chicken tortilla soup is some of the best in town… HANDS DOWN!

  2. Baja Burrito

Located in Berry Hill, this is a family-owned and operated establishment that I have been coming to for the last 20 years. Their fish taco is, in my opinion, the tastiest I’ve ever eaten. I also really like putting the Baja fish in a burrito! The crispy batter on the fish, is complemented by a refreshing cabbage slaw and a squeeze of fresh lime. It is a flavor combination that’s… chefs kiss 😘.

  3. Casa Fiesta

A time-honored restaurant in Antioch known for preserving the traditions of Mexican cuisine. Here, the carne asada taco reigns supreme. The marinated steak, cooked to perfection, is paired with fragrant onions, cilantro, and a generous squeeze of lime—a simple yet deeply satisfying creation. Another winner of a place to dine!

I can’t help but appreciate the rich tapestry of Mexican cuisine that has found a loving home in Music City… and these are just a few! National Taco Day is more than just a day to indulge in delicious tacos; it is a celebration of the culinary diversity and the dedication of the people who make it possible.
